making time for bubbles

We got stuck in some traffic coming home from visiting some teacher friends of mine from my last year of work. I think it took us almost 30 minutes to go 10 miles. I needed to make a simple dinner so I could feed my hungry children but also needed to occupy them while I cooked so they wouldn't act like crazy monkeys all over the house. So I took out the bubbles box and let them at it. Mind you, it was not a mess free activity. But I had them clean up after themselves, and then, they decided to use the towels (luckily, I rinsed it out again before they did this) to wrap their feet up like shoes. Really, why buy them toys? ;)
